In The Call...............

Isaac, our 4th precious blessing from The Lord was born, "In The Call."
I had never heard of this term used before, and it apparently rarely occurs.

Amy, is blessed by God to be strong as a bull when giving birth. She typically walks around untill the baby moves down the birth canal. Then I will get her in the "bear-hug", which is us two facing each other, with my arms around her, under her arms, as she squats and pushes out the baby. ( During these blessed events she and babies are covered in the constant blanket of prayers I am quietly saying over them, praying to God for their safety and for His guidance, and the strength to hold them both up during the process.) This past April 2nd we were blessed to birth Isaac, and with Amy in the "bear-hug", and Isaac almost to the point of delivery.....something was different........

As Isaac"s little head came out, I saw our wonderful Doctor friend whom was delivering him kind of have an different look on her face, as she looked at his head. Amy was bearing down at that point, as she let up, we all realized what had happened. The amniotic sack had not broken, and he was still inside it intact. When Amy let up, all the water came downwards, surrounding his head in the sac outside of Amy. Hanging there upside down in the water filled sac, Isaac"s eyes were wide open, and he was opening and closing his mouth, with the vernix slowy floating around his head. Kind of like a baseball inside a clear balloon, filled with water. The doctor eventually popped the bag and the water came out, and a couple of pushes later Isaac came right out. We then peeled the bag off from over his head and were able to see his beautiful face, a little more clearly.

This was an incredibly great gift from The Lord, you normally do not get to see this area of God"s creation, outside the body. -----Truly Awesome

That day, like our three prior "birth days",
The Lord provided all we needed.................................... Jehovah Jireh

Handwriting on the wall//Daniel

Every once in a while if I do something for my wife and she forgets to thank me personally, occasionally I might be upset for a while. I try to do my best for her, and I like to see and or hear that she likes and approves of whatever I may have done for her. Simple enough, not much to ask for.........Then I read Daniel 5 :23, near the end of the verse it says ::::::: "But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified."

I try to thank God and give Him all the glory as much as I can, but it is not nearly as much as He so greatly deserves. There are untold multitudes of people out there that NEVER thank God nor give Him any glory, ever, to their own demise. In fact they do the opposite. ----and He created us all !!!!
How must God be grieved to see our every moment of life, and not be praised as He should be!

So being duly convicted, I will try not to be so touchy when I am not thanked for taking out the garbage when the can is full. And I will try to praise The Lord more, as He most assuredly deserves for all the blessings he showers on us.

Day in and Day out

Every moment we have with our children is an opportunity given by God to teach them about Him, His word and His ways. We will never get a second of that time back, we shall use it wisely.

"You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

"These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.

"You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

"You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.

"You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Praise GOD Spring is Here!

We will try it!

Don't know if this works or not but wouldn't cost much to find out. Can't hurt...might help!
I can't wait to try this in the summer! I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children's swing area, and the standing water nearby.During the summer, I don't leave home without it.....Pass it on

.OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS:I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It works - in fact, it killed them ins tantly. I bought my bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it is not as expensive to use as the can of spray you buy that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a wood door (like your front door), but spray around the frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside the dog house.

One Dollar Bill

THE UNITED STATES ONE DOLLAR BILL
Take out a one dollar bill, and look at it. The one dollar bill you're looking at first came off the presses in 1957 in its present design.

This so-called paper money is in fact a cotton and linen blend, with red and blue minute silk fibers running through it. It is actually material. We've all washed it without it falling apart. A special blend of ink is used, the contents we will never know. It is overprinted with symbols and then it is starched to make it water resistant and pressed to give it that nice crisp look. If you look on the front of the bill, you will see the United StatesTreasury Seal.
On the top you will see the scales for a balanced budget. In the center you have a carpenter's square, a tool used for an even cut. Underneath is the Key to the United States Treasury. That's all pretty easy to figure out, but what is on the back of that dollar bill is something we should all know. If you turn the bill over, you will see two circles. Both circles, together, comprise the Great Seal of the United States The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men come up with a Seal. It took them four years to accomplish this task and another two years to get it approved. If you look at the left-hand circle, you will see a Pyramid.

Notice the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the West or decided what we could do for Western Civilization. The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to being finished. Inside the capstone you have the all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity. It was Franklin's belief that one man couldn't do it alone, but a group of men, with the help of God, could do anything.'IN GOD WE TRUST' is on this currency. The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, 'God has favored our undertaking.' The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, means, 'A new order has begun.'At the base of the pyramid is the Roman numeral for 1776. (MDCCLXXVI)If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States It is also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery, and is the centerpiece of most hero's monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the President of the United States, and it is always visible whenever he speaks, yet very few people know what the symbols mean. The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is smart enough to soar above it. Secondly, he wears no material crown. We had just broken from the King of England. Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This country can now stand on its own.At the top of that shield you have a white bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming together as one nation. In the Eagle's beak you will read, E PLURIBUS UNUM', meaning, 'one nation from many people'. Above the Eagle, you have thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling away. Again, we were coming together as one. Notice what the Eagle holds in his talons. He holds an olive branch and arrows. This country wants peace, but we will never be afraid to fight to preserve peace. The Eagle always wants to face the olive branch, but in time of war, his gaze turns toward the arrows. They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room numbered 13, or any hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about this:
13 original colonies,
13 signers of the Declaration of Independence ,
13 stripes on our flag,
13 steps on the Pyramid,
13 letters in the Latin above,
13 letters in 'E Pluribus Unum',
13 stars above the Eagle,
13 bars on that shield,
13 leaves on the olive branch,
13 fruits, and if you look closely,
13 arrows.
And, for minorities:
the 13th Amendment. I always ask people, 'Why don't you know this?' Your children don't know this, and their history teachers don't know this. Too many veterans have given up too much to ever let the meaning fade. Many veterans remember coming home to an America that didn't care. Too many veterans never came home at all. Share this page with everyone, so they can learn what is on the back of the UNITED STATES ONE DOLLAR BILL, and what it stands for... Otherwise, they will probably never know...

I think David homeschooled Solomon,.... I know he taught him God"s Word

Proverbs( Holy Spirit inspired through Solomon)

Proverbs 4-- Biblical instructions from a Daddy to his son......

1Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7Wisdom (Bible) is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom (From God"s word): and with all thy getting get understanding. ( i.e., You can go to Bible study every day, but without absorbing and truly understanding what God"s word says, it is fruitless work.)
8Exalt her (wisdom, from God"s word), and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. ( four- fold warning to stay clear from evil.)
16For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what (they stumble.
20My son, attend to my words (A dad"s wisdom to his children should every bit be Bible-based) ; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26Ponder the path of thy feet, ( God"s word will and should, guide you) and let all thy ways be established. (In the Right Direction)
27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Interesting Article, by actor Charlton Heston (not homeschooled...., but married for 64 years to the same woman)

Excerpt from a 1997 Charlton Heston speech,
Fighting the Culture War in America

Rank-and-file Americans wake up every morning, increasingly bewildered and confused at why their views make them lesser citizens. The message gets through; Heaven help the God fearing, law-abiding, Caucasian, middle- class Protestant-or even worse, evangelical Christian, Midwestern or Southern- or even worse, rural, apparently straight-or even worse, admitted heterosexuals, gun-owing-or even worse, NRA-card-carrying, average working stiff-or even worse, male working stiff-because, not only don’t you count, you are a down-right obstacle to social progress. Your voice deserves a lower decibel level, your opinion is less enlightened, your media access is insignificant, and frankly, mister, you need to wake up, wise up, and learn a little something from your new-America and until you do, would you mind shutting up?

The last line of this speech Mr. Heston gave is this:::

We have reached that point in time when our social policy originates on Oprah. Its time to pull the plug!

Does not seem like global warming to me.....

We were at my brothers home yesterday, and we watching WGN news. The weatherman said that they, Chicagoland area, were at a record 177 days from the last 70 degree day, which I believe was Oct. 18th.
This great span of 70 to 70 degree temps is the longest recorded since records have been kept. Assuming that they reach 70 today the record will be 178 days, that is a long time between 70 degree days.

I am not getting rid of all my winter clothes just yet.

I am fond of saying, "No Root, No Fruit."

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Journal/stories.aspx?id=75927

Then they will know that I am The Lord.

"Then they will know that I am The Lord."

God says this through Ezekiel some 62 times throughout that prophetic book of the Bible.

God blotted out nations because of their abominations, some never to be seen again, some destroyed to just a shadow of their former glory. Egypt for example, a super-power of the day, a ruler of many nations, reduced to a very minor part of history after God sent Nebuchadnezzar after them. ( prophesied by Ezekiel in ch. 29 to 32, with 29:15 proclaiming Egypt"s forevermore non-dominance in world history.)

Tyre was also a super-power of the day. From the 12th to 6th centuries B.C., probably the greatest maritime power in the entire world, with additional colonies in Africa, Spain, and what is now England. Nebuchadnezzar, the Persians, and Alexander the Great were all sent to siege Tyre. (Ezekiel Ch.26 to 28,// very interesting to research the incredible way Alexander layed siege to this once great city-Google it)
Tyre never recovered it"s former glory.

Babylon-- With its 60 miles around great wall, 15 miles per side in a square formation. This wall was said to 300 feet high, 80 feet thick, and 35 feet deep belowground level so that their enemies could not burrow underneath. They cleared the land for a quarter of a mile all the way around the city to, so no intruders would find any cover trying to attack.
Moats filled with water also deterred enemies. 250 towers to house guards, 100 brass gates.
This city was all but impossible for an enemy to get into, yet Babylon is no more.
( Again, research how this city was eventually overthrown)

These peoples all thought they were the most powerful thing in the world, unstoppable. They practiced things contrary to God and His word, and although for a time some were used by God as an instrument to punish Israel and turn them back to Him, they were eventually destroyed totally, or close enough to it to remove any power they might have had.

The U.S.A. has held favor with God for a few hundred years, but this country is quickly forgetting that falling from God"s favor is usually the beginning of the end for any peoples that desire to go that way.

We Christians need to pray for revival in this country, if not for our sake, for the sake of our young children whom might be here when judgement comes to town.

This one is Parents only-!-!-!-! Yet another reason to homeschool

Born-again children are to be salt and light in the world also, schools included, but we feel that unless a child is at the point spiritually to tackle this kind of warfare, he or she is more apt to be swayed by it. That is why military soldiers do not go into battle after only one day of boot camp.

P.S. Ken Hutcherson was a tough man on the NFL football field, and is an even tougher pro-family man, praise God for him, he is making a difference.

Yet another reason to homeschool

http://www.onenewsnow.com/Education/

Daniel Webster

Daniel Webster said of the Bible: "If there is anything in my thoughts or style to commend, the credit is due to my parents for instilling in me an early love of the Scriptures. If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we and our posterity neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity."

John Ruskin

John Ruskin said of the Bible: "Whatever merit there is in anything that I have written, is simply due to the fact that when I was a child my mother daily read me a part of the Bible and daily made me learn part of it by heart.

Any AWANA families out there?!!

Horace Greeley

Horace Greeley said of the Bible: " It is impossible to enslave mentally or socially a Bible-reading people. The principles of the Bible are the ground-work of human freedom."

Sir William Herschel

Sir William Herschel said of the Bible: "All human discoveries seem to be made only for the purpose of confirming more and more strongly the truths contained in the Sacred Scriptures."

U.S. Grant

General Grant and what he said about the Bible: "The Bible is the sheet- anchor of our liberties"

God"s Old Testament "Altar Call" !!!!

"Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, each according to his conduct ( conduct, i.e., following God or not following God) ," declares the Lord GOD. "Repent and turn away from all your transgressions, so that iniquity may not become a stumbling block to you.
"Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel?
"For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,"
declares the Lord GOD. "Therefore, repent and live."

I was watching a segment of Way of the Master recently and Ray Comfort was open air preaching when a young adult started to banter with Ray, saying what we all hear alot- "If God is so loving why would he condemn people to hell?"

Of course this young man does not realize that if God did not love us, we would have no Way to heaven at all. As the verse above says, "For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies-Therefore repent and live"--God loves us all and wants us all with Him.

But His Rule of how we get to heaven, cannot be set aside for anyone. Unlike the "laws' or rules in the state we may live in might seem to help one person more than another, or on this day may be enforced, but not the next. God has one simple, easy to understand , uncomplicated rule, that will ever be enforced, not respecting any person - 1. Accept God as ruler in our lives through Jesus, and repent of our old ways----and Live.

If we choose not to, we condemn our selves to hell, not God. He just made the rule, we choose not to follow it. In this world today of little respect for authority, no Biblical knowledge, and people taking little accountability for their actions, it is easy to see why this young man had the view he did. I had the same misunderstandings years ago also, as I am sure many have. Though in judgement day that will not be an excuse.

I liken many things to scenarios with my son Zeke, to explain situations to the kids to help them understand, this, I will also:
There have been times when Zeke and I had plans to go and do something together. Say, it was fishing. I would be really looking forward to spending that time with him. One day he was told in the morning that he could not go fishing unless he got his math done. ( torture for mr. Zeke), Well, he was just wonderful all day (as he is the majority of the time) running around helping his momma and I, playing wonderfully with his brother and sisters, really just super. But when it came time to go fishing, I had to ask him if he got his math done, and he said no. I had no choise but to say," Zeke, you can"t go fishing with me then." "All those things you did today were very helpfull, but I told you only one thing that must be done, get the math finished, and that you did not do." I really wanted to go fishing with you and am sad that it will not happen, but I must uphold what I told you."

If me in my earthly form, have some hint of upholding a law or a decision, then God in all his perfect righteousness MUST NEVER waver on his decision, that accepting Jesus as Savior is the only way to heaven. He wants us all, and I am sure it pains Him to lose any, but His one rule, will be followed.

John Quincy Adams

President John Quincy Adams said of the Bible, "So great is my veneration for the Bible, that the earlier my children begin to read it, the more confident will be my hope that they will prove usefull citizens of their country and respectable members of society. I have for many years made it a practice to read through the Bible once every year.

--amen!!

Robert E. Lee

General Robert E. Lee said of the Bible, "In all my perplexities and distresses, the Bible has never failed to give me light and strength."

--amen!

More George Washington....

George Washington said about the Bible, " It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."

President Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson said about the Bible, " That Book sir, is the rock on which our republic rests."

Interesting article from St. Petersburg Times newspaper about homeschooling ( We used to live in St.Pete)

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/06/26/Worldandnation/Homeschooling__It_s_n.shtml

First in War, First in Peace......

From President Washington"s Farewell Address:

"Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle."

So very, very wise was he.... The absence of the Bible in our homes, or at least the reading of it, and thus our faith in God going out the window is the cause, of the begining of the end for this once great country.
